FEED Operations Committee: July 20, 2015 Agenda and Action Items

Present: Kelly Warren, Lauri Lee, Lisa Wiese, Chris Moore, Chris Brockel, Abha Thakkar, Terrie Anderson, Martee Mikalson

Agenda:

  1. Plan next FEED Bazaar — Taste of FEED, August 8, 4:00 to 7:30 pm, at FEED.
  2. Promotion for event
  3. Finalize volunteer needs for Bazaar

Action Items:

  1. Prepare for more attendees than past bazaars, especially children
  2. Some FEED vendors will sell their wares, and some will offer free samples.
  3. Free beverages indoors.
  4. Outdoor spaces delineated with traffic cones, to include food carts, tents, picnic tables, and family activities.
  5. FEED representatives will monitor each kitchen space and offer tour overviews.
  6. Additional children’s activities can be moved indoors, as needed, such as decorating cookies in training kitchen and sidewalk games at back loading dock.
  7. Promote Taste of FEED as a family outing
  8. Northside News half page ad/story
  9. Post flyers in preschools, neighborhood centers, library, churches and local businesses
  10. Electronic postings of flyer to NEXT DOOR, Northside Discuss and NICE, as well as media contacts.
  11. Chris Moore, new FEED volunteer coordinator will have a volunteer sign-up ready to post online by 7/27. FOC members will ask their own contacts to fill empty roles.
