Having an herb garden surrounding FEED Kitchens inspires and brings out the cook — or the appetite for good food — for many of us. Lauri Lee of Herb ‘n’ Gardener coordinated the herb garden and herbs were donated by Willy Street Co-op North, Jung Garden Center, Northside True Value and Herb ‘n’ Gardener. The River Food Pantry made basil pesto from the first harvest. An herb vinegar demo will be held at Jung Garden Center Thursday, Aug. 16, at 3 pm.
