Chris Brockel

Chris has a Master’s Degree in Continuing and Adult Vocational Education from the University of Wisconsin – ­Madison. He has over 25 years of experience in non­profit work and management. Chris started his career as an instructor in the Dane County Jail, worked on a demonstration project working with parents of Head Start Families, developed high school completion and vocational training programs at the Dane County Job Center, worked as the Food and Gardens Division Manager at Community Action Coalition, and was the Executive Director of FairShare CSA Coalition. In 2013 Chris worked with Dane County United Way to lead a delegation of community members to plan and write a ten year community mobilization plan to increase access to healthy food.He currently serves on the City of Madison’s Food Policy Council and coordinates his neighborhood’s community garden.
